A mantra is a Sanskrit word derived from two roots, man meaning mind; and tra meaning instrument or tool, is a sacred utterance, sound, or word, that is said to give power to the person who chants or recites it. This results in a higher level of consciousness and shifts negativity into positive, food for the soul.
Mantras can also be positive affirmations you say to yourself for encouragement.
